Moulin à Vent - Les Petits Bois

moulin à vent

The Lord of Beaujolais: With an area of 660 ha, this vineyard does not take its name from a town, but from a 15th century windmill.

Present in the departments of Saone et Loire and the Rhone and in the communes of Romanèche Thorins and Chénas, at an average altitude of 200 m.

Full-bodied and complex, Moulin-à-Vent is the ultimate wine of choice, up to 10 years depending on the vintage.

Anchored in a soil composed of pink granite and friable, rich in manganese undoubtedly at the origin of its characteristics, the Moulin-à-vent is an intense and tannic wine.

With age, it tends to "pinot", thus getting closer to Burgundy wines.
